A Family Business Rooted in Two Worlds

Truly Moroccan is a small family business based in Yorkshire, founded by Karen and Said. Karen grew up in England; Said grew up in Tangier, Morocco. After living in the south of Morocco for several years, we fell in love with the country's rich artisan traditions — the argan cooperatives, the leather tanneries, the handworked crafts still made the same way they have been for centuries.

We started Truly Moroccan to bring those traditions to you, authentically and ethically.

Our Argan Oil

Our pure argan oil comes directly from a women's cooperative in the south of Morocco. It is certified organic and fully compliant with European cosmetic legislation — registered on the CPNP (Cosmetic Products Notification Portal) and backed by a full safety report from a registered toxicologist.

When you buy our argan oil, you're supporting the women who produce it.

Our Leather Goods

Most of our leather goods are crafted in a small traditional workshop in the medina of Fez — the old city. The leather is tanned using organic agents in Fez's famous traditional tanneries, then hand cut, stitched, and hand finished by skilled craftsmen. A small number of our premium bags are made in a larger workshop in Tangier.

Every piece is handworked. No mass production.

Our Craftsmen

We work directly with self-employed traditional craftsmen who supply the shops and markets of Morocco. By buying from us, you're supporting independent artisans and keeping centuries-old crafts alive.
