Truly Moroccan
Moroccan Sabra Cactus Silk Scarf – Handwoven in the Atlas Mountains
Moroccan Sabra Cactus Silk Scarf
A beautiful handwoven Moroccan scarf, traditionally made using Sabra cactus silk and sourced directly from a small women's cooperative in Morocco's Atlas Mountains.
We originally bought these scarves directly from a cooperative of eight Berber women artisans, who produced traditional woven textiles including scarves, throws and other pieces.
Each scarf features rich bands of colour with the distinctive lustrous finish associated with Sabra textiles. Because they are individually woven, slight variations in the weave, colour and finish are part of their handmade character.
At approximately 170cm x 60cm, they are generously sized and can be worn traditionally as a scarf, loosely draped as a wrap or used as a lightweight decorative accessory.
